Starting with version
2.1, the Tactile12000 is an open source project. With the source
code and the development software, you can add features, fix bugs,
modify the behavior and change the graphics. Tactile12000 development
requires Macromedia Director. For some features, a C++ development
environment (Microsoft Visual C++ or Metrowerks CodeWarrior) is
also required.
The source code is hosted on SourceForge
and released under the GNU
Public License. SourceForge provides a central place for developer
information about the project, including mailing lists, a bug database
and source control. If you would like to contribute to the development
of the software, you can apply to be member of the development group
for it. You do not have to be an official developer to download
and use the source code, though you must still adhere to the Gnu
Public License.
The SDK documentation is kept up to date at http://www.tactile12000.com/develop/sdk.html.
